Abstract: The demand for food has increased tremendously over the years as the population grows. To
meet this high demand for food, intensified agriculture has been prioritised. However, the
resulting high crops yields are threatened by incidences of pests and diseases either at growing
stage or at storage. To counter the loss associated with pests and diseases, the development and
intensified use of pesticides has become imperative. This paper examines pesticides management
practices in Mutatarakwa division in Bomet County, Kenya. |
